Never let nappies or wraps dry on the ground as you have no idea what germs are lurking there, or what insects may try to lay eggs in the nappy.

Do not tumble dry nappies unless absolutely necessary, and then only on low. Tumble drying reduces the lifetime of a nappy. It also causes nappies to shrink. If you want the softness that tumble drying produces, tumble nappies for 5 or 10 minutes  after allowing them to dry naturally for as long as possible. PUL wraps and all-in-one nappies should never be tumble dried as the high heat destroys the waterproofing. While Dri-buddy is better than tumble drying, it is still not recommended for PUL wraps and all-in-ones.

If you are worried about how hard the nappy feels against the skin, remember that while nappies may feel hard to you, as soon as they get wet they soften up. Think about your towels - you rub them against your skin to get dry despite their hardness. As soon as they get damp they soften. Also, remember that there will probably be a liner and a booster between your baby and the nappy, so the hardness of the nappy isn't that important.
